Home Lamps: Creating a mood in your home for an event, party, or simply for everyday living can be greatly influenced by your  table lamps and lighting. Mood lighting has become a popular trend for home owners and interior decorators.  Home lamps and lighting can make a space feel warm, cool, active, peaceful, or calm.

If you are trying to create a lively atmosphere for a party – use colored lights or lots of small lights to create sparkle . A great way to make the room look like it’s  festive is to use mini-lights in various places. You can string the mini-lights on houseplants or around the bar or entrance table.

On the other hand, if you want to set a more romantic mood for a small dinner party or an evening home with the special someone in your life use  dimmed lighting. It isn’t necessary to buy new home lamps to create a romantic mood – you can buy dimmers.

Table lamps and lighting are perfect for creating this type of mood because the light intensity can easily be adjusted and they come in different styles, shapes, and colors.  For an even more dimly lit room, turn off the lights and use small votive candles. A flickering candle lit room is very romantic. In this case, the lack of light will create a more intimate mood which is perfect for an elegant dinner party or a dinner for two.
